Staff Vacancy – Teaching Assistant

 

Enhanced Teaching Assistant required from 1st September 2020, initially for one year.


The School Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to cover a maternity leave and join our dynamic, progressive and highly-respected team, working in a high quality, calm and reflective environment.

Primarily, you will support children within Team Donaldson (Reception and Year 1) as a key person and will share the responsibility for contributing to planning, children’s learning journals, documentation and assessment, fully embedding yourself in the life of the school. Please note, that the role will also require you providing support and leading provision across the school – for example, supporting in the delivery of SEND and wellbeing programmes to groups of pupils in Key Stage 2/ Year 6.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Applicants must be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in early years education/childcare, and be appropriately experienced in working with children in Early Years – as well as supporting children across the Primary phases in the delivery and support of various SEND and wellbeing programmes.
