Virtual School Tour 2020

14th July 2020 By davidchristie

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all safe and well.

Due to Coronavirus/ Covid-19 and partial school closures resulting in the absence of our school’s usual transition programme for new starters this year, we have developed a virtual school tour and a virtual walk around video for parents and children to enjoy.

These two videos will hopefully allow you and your children to familiarise yourselves with the school and the classrooms before the start of the new school year in September – and perhaps support in alleviating any anxieties and concerns you or your child may have.

The ‘Virtual School Tour 2020’ takes you on a tour of the school and provides information on organisation and staffing at school, while the ‘Walk Around 2020’ provides a first person tour of the school – at child height.

These videos will be useful not only for our new reception starters and their parents in terms of them beginning to get to know and understand the layout and organisation of the school but I hope they will also be useful in allowing our current pupils – some of whom have not been in school for many months – to reacquaint themselves with our school in preparation for returning in September.

A big ‘thank you’ to my daughter Holly for designing this virtual version of our school on SIMS. I am very grateful for her effort and support in putting the videos together and publishing them for us!

I hope you and your children find the videos useful and helpful.

The links for both videos are below. Please copy and paste the links into your browser to view the videos.
