Pupils, staff and Governors were thrilled to receive a letter from Nick Gibb MP (Minister for School Standards) congratulating our school on 100% of Year 1 pupils attaining the expected standards in the 2018 Phonics Screening Test.
Mr Gibb MP wrote, “Your success in teaching phonics and early reading so effectively means your pupils are demonstrating a firm foundation in reading, from which they can become increasingly fluent and develop a lifelong love of reading.”
