As part of our work during Black History Month, we’ve enjoyed an engaging workshop with BigFoot Arts Education finding out about inspirational black people that shape Britain today. We completed freeze frames and worked extremely well as a T.E.A.M!
Well done, everyone!
Children have been learning more about Remembrance Day and thinking about the emotions and feelings of people who took part in the first Remembrance Day in 1919. We have also read a lovely story about a veteran taking part in a Remembrance Day service, called Proud as a Peacock, Brave as a Lion and we have watched the Poppies animation, which led to some very interesting and mature discussion. Some children have also helped to make poppies for our display.
