I thoroughly enjoyed delivering our whole-school assembly this morning. With the aim of developing understanding of respect is and why it is important to be respectful, I enlisted the help of one of our Year 5 pupils to perform a piece of recount writing he had completed in class on the Battle of Britain. Unfortunately, not everyone (by ‘everyone’, I refer to myself) was able to model respectful behaviour.
During the assembly we explored how we can model respectful behaviour, discussed who in society we should be most respectful too and then heard a story of The Lion King, the Mosquito and the Mouse.
To conclude the assembly, the whole-school modelled excellent examples of respectful behaviour as we listened to Connor’s outstanding writing.
Great work T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) Stanley Crook!
