Well done Team 5!
Today, pupils from Team 5 visited County Hall to present our petition to the Council, seeking to gain a reduction in the speed limit on the road outside the front of our school.
The pupils were present at the full council meeting and them presented our school petition to the Council Lead.
As always, the pupils conducted themselves magnificently and were outstanding ambassadors for our school!
This visit has provided an excellent experience for the pupils into the inner workings of a democratic system and enhances the significant work all pupils carry out in school around British Values.
I would also like to thank the many parents/ carers and members of our wider community who signed the petition to support our campaign. Thank you also to our Local Authority representative on our school Governing Body, Cllr. Hart, for his involvement in the campaign.
I will keep you all updated on any decision made by the Council regarding our proposals.
