Pupils in school have enjoyed an enjoyable (if slightly energetic) visit from Team GB athlete, Peter Bakare. Peter represented Team GB in Volleyball at the London 2012 Olympics and now visits schools to promote a healthy, active lifestyle and the importance of sports.
During the visit, every pupil took part in one-minute of physical activities to raise money for Team GB and to support sports funding in our school and then Peter presented a wonderful assembly where he talked about how he became an Olympic athlete and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. He also learned a little about Sport, PE and British Values at Stanley Crook Primary School by talking to our Playmakers and School Council group!
Great work T.E.A.M. Stanley Crook!
