To support their English unit focused on developing writing skills around Newspaper Reports and Journalistic Writing, pupils in Team Rowling have written a range of wonderful newspaper articles about the assassination of the Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand.
Writing in school is mostly delivered through a cross-curricular approach after core skills have been learned and developed through English lessons and discrete grammar, punctuation and spelling sessions.
Pupils enjoy writing for purpose and are proud of their achievements as work is regularly shared with pupils in other Teams, through Learning Showcase Events and linked with relevant topics.
